Thank you for exploring my page. I am an LCSW and I have a PhD as well. I am licensed in New Jersey and can see some people out of state due to a special temporary waiver during COVID-19 pandemic. I provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Anxiety and OCD. I have over 25 years of expertise working with people from all backgrounds and all ages. My approach is based on research and evidence that indicates that the strategies I offer are well suited for treating the symptoms of OCD, anxiety, and related concerns. There is no "one size fits all" therapy, which is why I work closely with you to establish what will actually help you, rather than attempting to use one method for everyone. I view therapy as a team effort; you and I, along with family and community work together to help you or your child or adolescent navigate life with these symptoms. I have worked at Princeton University, NYU and Columbia University as a therapist, professor and advisor; I take Princeton University and NYU Health Insurance. I am also a mom and have advanced training in assisting parents of children, teens and young adults with OCD and Anxiety.
I attended Columbia University for my M.S. in clinical social work. I then obtained my PhD from New York University and I pursued post-masters specialized training through the University of Pennsylvania Perleman School of Medicine in the treatment of OCD and related disorders in children and adults. I continue my education with frequent courses at Mass General Hospital and through the International OCD Foundation. IOCDF.org
